When a caterpillar is ready for the next stage of its life, it finds a quiet and safe place and spins itself into a cocoon or chrysalis. Then, the caterpillar releases digestive enzymes and dissolves itself. It disintegrates into a goo…For awhile, the essential parts of the caterpillar are hidden within the goo–its neurons, its sensory experiences–but they do remain, and are remodeled to form the next stage of life.”

Well-Come All…

I am a full spectrum birth keeper, sexual and reproductive health advocate, educator, researcher, and womb-space ceremonialist. As such, I provide physical, emotional, and educational support and guidance to all birthing people, their partners, their families, and communities across the reproductive landscape – and for all reproductive circumstances and outcomes. This may, and typically does indeed cover a diverse range of pregnancy experiences, as well as other complex and myriad possibilities that life may present regarding fertility and pre-conception, live birth, loss, abortion, and adoption.

Earthseed Birthwork praxis is steeped in and infused by the belief that within the hallowed grounds of your wholeness – your lived experiences and unique socio-cultural contexts, your dreams, your life journey – there is an opportunity for YOUR unique and divinely aligned birth journey to come forth.

I specialize in serving as guide and witness–helping you investigate, develop and then traverse the labyrinth that is your own birth ceremony, the complex and oftentimes daunting medical-system’s model of care and matrescence (*the physical, psychological, and social process of becoming a mother) while centering the sacred and traditional practices that have safely held gestational carriers for time immemorial.

Seeing, being deeply present in, and reflecting your innate power to call forth and touch into the dance of your intuition are my gifts.

Working with me is intended to be more than just a mere hand-holding, but a full-person witnessing, and a sanctuary of safety in order to support expansion of your capacity to be present with all that arises on your journey.

I believe all births are immeasurably transformative… birth shape-shifts us into whatever next iteration this life is calling forth for us.

When allowed, birth may expose you to both rapturous wonder, deep discomfort, indescribable joy, absolutely palpable pain, and the instinctive knowing that you will forever physically, emotionally, and spiritually be changed. Meeting YOUR unique birth journey, and allowing it to unfold with a wholeness of Self, awe, instinctive knowing, and love, from an embodied, somatically aware, and empowered place, is one of the most beautifully profound and wondrous offerings you can gift your birth rite of passage (and your entire life) with.

Please allow me to be one of the guides and witnesses that partners with you on your path…

“Doulas and midwives are really important for Black maternal health because we know that the rates are really disparate for Black birthing people: having higher rates of morbidities, and also mortality, than our white counterparts. And we know that doulas and midwives, working together, help people to have better outcomes: less complications, higher rates of vaginal birth, higher rates of breastfeeding, and just overall better health for both the mom and the baby.” - Jamarah Mani (CLICK TO WATCH VIDEO)
